Bake Sale Treats!

Wanted to share some of my sweet treats made from past bake sales!

Hope you enjoy!

Peanut Butter Squares & Brownies

I couldn’t decide between chocolate and peanut butter so I made both!

Easter Rice Krispy Frosted Flakes Squares

Made a simple rice crispy square but added crushed up chocolate eggs, topped with white chocolate and more crushed chocolate eggs! So sweet and so delicious.
Try subbing rice crispy cereal for frosted flakes 😉

Sprinkles are another easy sweet treat to top them with if you don’t have anything fancy!

Chocolate Cupcakes w/ Cherry Cream Cheese Centre

I used a can of cherry pie filling and made sure the cream cheese was softened before starting. I made it simple and used a box of chocolate fudge cake mix and followed the instructions on the box. Line your muffin trays with paper cups and only fill them with 1/4 to half cup o the cake batter. Scoop a heaping spoon full of cream cheese into the centre of each cupcake and a tsp of cherry pie filling (2-3 cherry's). Top them with the remainder of the cake batter. Put the trays into the oven and go by the directions on the cake mix box for temperature and time.I topped my cupcakes with cool whip and a cherry! 🍒

*Travel Tip*
It's easier to top the cupcakes after you put them into your travel container not before!

Tiramisu

This recipe is always a hit, only takes a few ingredients and it's quick to make
Softened cream cheese and room temperature cool whip. Italian lady finger cookies. Brew a mug of dark roast coffee or espresso. Set up an assembly line. You'll have a bowl of brewed coffee/espresso, cookies, cream cheese and cool whip mixed all together, and a container. Quickly dip one cookie at a time into the coffee and cover bottom of container. Using only half of the cream cheese & cool whip mix, spread a layer of it on the cookies. Then another layer of coffee dipped cookies and top it off with the remaining cream cheese/cool whip mix! Sprinkle cinnamon on top and refrigerate till you're ready to serve.

Candy Cane Sugar Cookies

Using a simple sugar cookie recipe, I divided the dough in half and mixed in red food colouring to one half. I rolled out the white and red dough separately into long snakes/ropes and twisted them together. Cut and shaped each twisted strand of dough into a candy cane and place on parchment paper lined tray! Follow the sugar cookie recipe and let them cool before adding icing.

Apple Crisp

6 apples peeled, cored & cut into slices 1/2 inch thick 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup large flake oats 1/2 cup flour 1 tsp  cinnamon 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter Super easy apple crisp! You can top it with any of your favorite treats like ice cream, whipped cream or dream whip, chocolate fudge, caramel, nuts or cherries. Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees F. First thing you're going to want to do is prep your apples. Peel, core, and cut each apple into 1/2 inch thick slices. Combine in another bowl the brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon. Press a large fork through the butter to create several small pieces to mix into the oat & sugar bowl. Remember to use cold unsalted butter so it doesn't go soft and clump together. Blend your "shredded" butter into the oat & sugar mixture. Place the apple slices into your greased pan and sprinkle on oats. I gave the pan a little drop and shake to even out the oat topping before pu...

Try our version of Chili Fries  😎 Prep Your Potatoes Use white and/or sweet potatoes. Cut out any potato eyes and wash.  Cut the potatoes up in 1/2 inch thick match sticks.  Cook Up Your Beef Fry fresh ground beef in a medium/large pan. Drain oil if needed.  We then added taco seasoning to the cooked ground beef.  You can use any kind of spices you like.  Go nuts! Take the pan off of the burner, set aside, and put on a pot of oil for the potatoes! Fry Those Spuds! It's super handy having an oil thermometer, once it hits 3 60 ° F   w e put a handful of potatoes in. Keep an eye on the oil temperature, keeping it around 360/35 0 ° F . Stir them to ensure they don't stick. Once they turn golden brown, place them onto a bowl lined with paper towel....
