Bake Sale Treats!

Wanted to share some of my sweet treats made from past bake sales!

Hope you enjoy!

Peanut Butter Squares & Brownies

I couldn’t decide between chocolate and peanut butter so I made both!

Easter Rice Krispy Frosted Flakes Squares

Made a simple rice crispy square but added crushed up chocolate eggs, topped with white chocolate and more crushed chocolate eggs! So sweet and so delicious.
Try subbing rice crispy cereal for frosted flakes 😉

Sprinkles are another easy sweet treat to top them with if you don’t have anything fancy!

Chocolate Cupcakes w/ Cherry Cream Cheese Centre

I used a can of cherry pie filling and made sure the cream cheese was softened before starting. I made it simple and used a box of chocolate fudge cake mix and followed the instructions on the box. Line your muffin trays with paper cups and only fill them with 1/4 to half cup o the cake batter. Scoop a heaping spoon full of cream cheese into the centre of each cupcake and a tsp of cherry pie filling (2-3 cherry's). Top them with the remainder of the cake batter. Put the trays into the oven and go by the directions on the cake mix box for temperature and time.I topped my cupcakes with cool whip and a cherry! 🍒

*Travel Tip*
It's easier to top the cupcakes after you put them into your travel container not before!

Tiramisu

This recipe is always a hit, only takes a few ingredients and it's quick to make
Softened cream cheese and room temperature cool whip. Italian lady finger cookies. Brew a mug of dark roast coffee or espresso. Set up an assembly line. You'll have a bowl of brewed coffee/espresso, cookies, cream cheese and cool whip mixed all together, and a container. Quickly dip one cookie at a time into the coffee and cover bottom of container. Using only half of the cream cheese & cool whip mix, spread a layer of it on the cookies. Then another layer of coffee dipped cookies and top it off with the remaining cream cheese/cool whip mix! Sprinkle cinnamon on top and refrigerate till you're ready to serve.

Candy Cane Sugar Cookies

Using a simple sugar cookie recipe, I divided the dough in half and mixed in red food colouring to one half. I rolled out the white and red dough separately into long snakes/ropes and twisted them together. Cut and shaped each twisted strand of dough into a candy cane and place on parchment paper lined tray! Follow the sugar cookie recipe and let them cool before adding icing.

Hearty Potato Hash Skillet

With a little prep, this recipe is a breeze! It will soon be your go to breakfast skillet! Get all your ingredients out, prep and cut them if necessary. Fry up some bacon!  Yum, when its done cut or break it into small pieces.  *TIP* Fry potatoes in the same pan you fried your bacon in* 😉 Clean the potatoes, cut out the eyes and any bad spots. Peel skins if desired and cut them into cubes. Grate the cheese and set it aside with the bacon pieces.     Fry up the potato cubes until they're almost 3/4 of the way cooked.  Mix in bacon pieces and 1/4 of the grated cheese, then its time for the eggs. Make a well in the potatoes for each egg you use. Turn down the heat and add 1-2 tsps of butter in and around potato hash.  Then cover for 5 minutes or until the yoke is cooked to your liking.  Lastly, mix into the hash the remainder of the grated cheese! The skillet is ready to serve once the cheese has melte...

Chicken Salad Wrap Pinwheels

Super easy snack, play around with different ingredients in your chicken salad ! I made 2 different chicken salads both with mayonnaise.  I divided my mixture of mayonnaise, shredded grilled chicken breast and grated marble cheese into to 2 parts. Left one as is and added a couple extra ingredients to the second portion of salad.  I added chopped celery and some ceaser salad dressing.  Spread a thin layer (1/4-1/2 inch ) of salad on top of your tortilla.  Start rolling up your tortilla from one end, keeping it nice and tight! I then started cutting slices, tip for next time, wrap the tortilla tub up with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge to firm up.  Make sure the knife you use to cut the rolls is nice and sharp.  Place them on plate and munch out! Or pop them into the fridge until it’s go time! You can add anything you like!  I’m thinking about adding some mushrooms and red peppers next time I make these LOL...

Red Pepper Jelly and Bacon Brie

Delicious flavors with a little heat!  If you're a brie lover, you need to try this super easy brie bake!  Only 3 ingredients are used! 😎 Try a different flavor of jelly or vegetarian option would be nuts not bacon 🥓🥓🥓   All you neeed is your favorite half or whole wheel of brie, red pepper jelly, and cooked crispy bacon. Pre heat the oven at 400-450F depending on how efficient your oven works. Place the brie into a ramekin or oven safe dish like Corningware.
