Prep Your Potatoes
Use white and/or sweet potatoes. Cut out any potato eyes and wash.
Cut the potatoes up in 1/2 inch thick match sticks.
Cook Up Your Beef
Fry fresh ground beef in a medium/large pan. Drain oil if needed.
We then added taco seasoning to the cooked ground beef.
You can use any kind of spices you like.
Go nuts!
Take the pan off of the burner, set aside, and put on a pot of oil for the potatoes!
Fry Those Spuds!
It's super handy having an oil thermometer, once it hits 360°F we put a handful of potatoes in. Keep an eye on the oil temperature, keeping it around 360/350°F. Stir them to ensure they don't stick. Once they turn golden brown, place them onto a bowl lined with paper towel. Salt those spuds ASAP and toss! π
Prep Rest Of Ingredients
Get your cheese and sauce ready!
Grate up some cheese, use any kind you like. We used marble π§
For some sauce to top your chili fries, we mixed up mayonnaise and bacon ranch salad dressing. To keep this sauce simple, we added some mayo to the almost empty salad dressing bottle for an easy squeeze.
Give the bottle a good shake!
Assemble & Broil!
Get ready a parchment paper lined pan. Start with placing down your fries and topping them with half your grated cheese. Then add on the beef!
Top the beef layer with the rest of your cheese! Check it out!
Get this beautiful tray in the oven!!!
Watch it in there, it may not take too long. You want to warm up the beef and melt the cheese.
Around 5 minutes should do it
Top your chili fries with sauce or set aside for dipping, your choice!
